I've seen 'multi-trellis variance analysis' mentioned in the Intelligence sheet video series. Can someone explain the concept and when it's useful?

Trellis = small multiples. Multi-trellis variance means the same chart repeated for each member of a dimension — e.g., the Budget vs Actuals bar chart shown separately for each of 12 regions, all in a grid. Very useful for comparing performance patterns without filter interactions.

We use multi-trellis variance for our regional P&L review. 15 regions, same chart type, one screen. The CFO can instantly identify which regions are on plan and which are outliers without clicking filters.
