We're mid-migration from Anaplan. Three models in, seven to go. The architecture translation is non-trivial because Anaplan's Modules map differently to Planning sheets. Happy to connect with others who've been through this.

We migrated two Anaplan models last year. The hardest thing was the formula translation — Anaplan's LAG() and LEAD() time functions need DAX equivalents in the semantic model. Build your time intelligence layer first, before you start the Planning sheets.

Also worth noting: Anaplan users expect real-time formula recalc as they enter numbers. Fabric Plan calculates from the semantic model so the experience is slightly different. Set expectations with your finance team before go-live.

The mental model shift I needed: stop thinking about 'modules' and start thinking about 'measures on a semantic model.' Once that clicked, the Planning sheet configuration made much more sense.
