I've set up my Planning sheet and I'm ready to configure writeback to a Fabric SQL database. The docs mention configuring under Writeback > Destination but I'm getting a connection error. My SQL database is in the same workspace.

Got it working! The issue was that my cloud connection was using my personal OAuth token. For production, I'll switch to a service principal-based connection as recommended in the docs.

Also check that your service account (or user identity) has Build permissions on the SQL database. Writeback needs write access, not just read. This is separate from the Fabric workspace role.

Make sure you've created a cloud connection to your Fabric SQL database before configuring the writeback destination. Go to the Data section and establish a connection under 'Select a Connection'. The Plan app needs an explicit connection object, even if the SQL database is in the same workspace.
