Bonjour everyone! I'm François, Finance Systems Manager at a public transit authority in Canada. We're in the process of moving from an on-premise Hyperion instance to Microsoft Fabric. Fabric Plan is our target for the planning workloads. Our biggest concern is data sovereignty — making sure budget data stays within Canada. Anyone navigated Fabric region selection for regulated industries?

We went through this for HIPAA compliance in healthcare. The short answer: choose Canada Central or Canada East for your Fabric capacity, and document your data residency story for auditors. Fabric's multi-geo documentation is thorough.

Also worth checking whether your semantic models and writeback destinations are in the same region. Cross-region data movement can become a compliance issue even if the compute stays local.
