I'm Raj, a Microsoft Fabric consultant. I've deployed Fabric Plan across six clients so far — manufacturing, financial services, and retail. Happy to share patterns and anti-patterns. Ask me anything about workspace setup, capacity sizing, or semantic model governance.

Raj, have you seen deployments where the client wanted to keep Power BI reports and Fabric Plan on separate workspaces for governance? Any issues with cross-workspace semantic model bindings?

Great question Marcus — by far the most common issue is building the semantic model for Power BI reports (with lots of display-focused calculated measures) and then expecting it to drive planning. You need a clean, additive fact table with consistent time dimensions. Planning needs the raw model, not the presentation layer.

What's the most common mistake you see on the semantic model side when teams first connect to Plan?
