Fabric Planning training FAQ

No. All guides, videos and FAQs in both paths are open. You only need a free community account to download datasets and data files.
If Fabric Planning is new to you, start with Skills Hub Planning Season 1. It takes about 30 minutes and gives you the full picture. If you already know your way around Fabric and want to build, go straight to Hands-on Labs Exercise 1.
A Skills Hub season takes about 30 minutes. The full Hands-on Labs take about 5 hours, with each exercise running 12–60 minutes. You can stop after any exercise or episode and come back later.
A Fabric workspace where you have Member or Admin access. The Hands-on Labs also need a Fabric SQL database. The setup guide PDF goes through everything step by step. For capacity questions, see Capacity & Pricing.
We recommend it for Exercises 1–3, because they build the foundation. After that you can pick the module you need: PowerTable (6–7), Intelligence Sheets (8–9) or the Advanced exercises (4, 5 and 10).
Intelligence and PowerTable modules are in production. New seasons will be announced in the community forums.

Stuck on a step?

Ask other planners working through the same exercises. Post your question in the Training forum, and mention the exercise or episode number so people can find it quickly.
