Navigate and customize calendar layout

This article explains how to navigate the calendar and customize the calendar layout as per your preferences.

  • Use the Previous and Next arrows at the top to navigate through the calendar timeline.
  • Select Today to go to the current date in the calendar.
  • Hover over the task to see the event or task's start and end dates and times.
  • Select the task to view the complete record details in a pop-up.

Switch calendar views#

Use the Month drop-down to switch between the Month, Week, and Day views in the calendar layout.

Month view

The following image shows the Month view, displaying the tasks in a monthly calendar format.

You can customize the Month view using the Properties menu.

  • Select Properties.
  • Specify the number of weeks to display at a time. The calendar automatically adjusts to fit the current month.
  • Use the Weekends toggle to show or hide weekends.

Week view

To switch to week view, select Week from the dropdown menu. It displays the tasks for a week.

For the week view, under Properties,

  • You have the option to choose a 12-hour or 24-hour time format.
  • You can show or hide weekends.
  • You can choose to show or hide the ISO week number for the current week.

The following image shows the week view with its available properties.

Day view

To switch to the day view, choose Day from the dropdown menu. It displays the tasks for the day.

For the day view, in Properties, you can

  • Select the 12-hour or 24-hour time format.
  • Set the number of days to display in the timeline.

The following image shows the day view with its available properties.

  • Only with the DateTime datatype in Start/End Date columns are the Week and Day views accessible.
  • You can instantly access the Day view by selecting the date on the Month or the Week views.

Export to PDF#

PDF exports are supported in calendar layouts. The exported PDF retains the layout structure and all other details. To learn more, see export to PDF.

Modify layout#

To modify the existing calendar layout and configure a new one, go to Layout > Manage Layout. Select the layout, and then reset or reconfigure the properties.
