SOYEAR

The SOYEAR function returns the start date of the year for a given date. References and measures are also accepted as arguments. This function is commonly used to calculate yearly reporting periods and perform year-based analysis.

Arguments

• date: The input date.

Return value

Returns the start date of the year.

Example

SOYEAR("05/29/2026")

Returns 01/01/2026, which is the start date of the year containing 05/29/2026.
