10.2 - Configure writeback destination

This guide lists the steps to configure the destination for writeback.

To begin, create your planning sheet. Writeback may be performed for data input rows and columns as seen below, as well as for comments.

Add a new destination#

  1. Select the Writeback ribbon.
  1. Select Add destination.
  1. Use the Select a Connection dropdown to select your SQL connection.
  1. Select Database Name to choose your destination.
  1. Select your desired database.
  1. Select Add.
  1. Enter the schema and the table name.
  1. Choose the decimal precision for your writeback columns.

Please note that this is a one-time action that cannot be changed and will apply to any future destinations added.

  1. Choose your desired text length for strings. For example, you may want to increase the length for writeback if you have a Notes column with long notes added. Select Add.
  1. Once your destination has been configured, you will see an expanded writeback menu with additional options.
  1. Add multiple destinations by selecting Add destination again.

Note that for further destinations, it is not possible to select the decimal precision or text length.

Manage Destinations#

1. Select Manage to manage writeback destinations.

  1. You can now refresh, edit, delete, or turn off destinations.
