Create a filter panel

The facet filter consolidates multiple report filters into a single, configurable filter panel. Customize the filter type for each dimension independently, enabling users to interact with different categories using the most appropriate filtering control.

Configure a facet filter#

Combine different filter types such as radio buttons, checkboxes, lists, toggles, and tiles to create a filter panel by using a single visual.

  1. Add a Super Filter visual.
  2. Assign multiple dimensions to the Category bucket.
  3. In the Filter ribbon, select Facet from Quick Mode.
  1. In the Filter ribbon, go to Properties > Style > Category Styling. Configure individual filter styles such as tiles, checkboxes, and radio buttons for each dimension. In this example, we've used a toggle for the product subcategory radio buttons for the year, and tiles for the category.
  1. Enable Cascade Filter to dynamically update the available options in other categories based on the current selection. For example, when you select the Accessories category, only the corresponding subcategories are displayed. This option is enabled by default.
